The hotel has an overall peaceful vibe, with enough of a buffer of greenery between it and the bustle of the city.
This book-themed guesthouse is housed in the same building as the next two spots on this list (each amazing in its own right), making it a perfect retreat for bibliophiles.

The library is best known for its appearance as a backdrop in both K-pop videos and K-dramas, recognizable by the pop of color on the shelves that seem to mimic parts of the Korean alphabet.

Book Cafe Noon (효형출판북카페 눈)

There are a lot of gorgeous leather-bound books on display as well, both on shelves and locked behind glass cases.
It makes for a truly fascinating visit that gives bibliophiles a chance to enjoy some of the history behind book-making and the written word.

Blue Box

With log-ended bookshelves and indoor metal sheet awnings, Blue Box offers a refreshing change of pace for those looking for some unique designs to spice up their reading life. Though it might sound random, this visual effect comes together rather nicely, making you feel almost as if you’ve lost yourself in a distant village and not smack-dab in Book City.
In addition to its thousands of titles on offer, Blue Box has a café with kind service and delicious drinks and treats.

Paju City Hanul Library is a bit of a standout for its location inside a park veined with cycling paths and filled with sports areas for local teams. Book Café Bandi (북카페 반디)

You can find the last cluster of book cafés on the northern edge of Paju, starting with Book Café Bandi. And frankly, if the uniquely curved wooden building wasn’t eye-catching enough, the giant book spines painted onto the front ought to do the trick. This nature-friendly wooden café features a collection of around 4,000 books, classified by subject, and creates a comforting atmosphere.
The café serves fresh tea, milk tea, homemade tea, fresh juice, and coffee. Its warm, oval-shaped interior invites guests to linger and enjoy a drink with a new favorite book on the side.

9Block Café, Heyri Branch (나인블럭 헤이리점)

In Paju’s Heyri Art Village, you can find a branch of a popular café chain, 9Block Café. However, unlike most other locations in this chain, the Heyri branch is a book café, featuring a huge black bookshelf filled with hundreds of volumes.
While some books feel like they’re more for display, being so far out of reach, the café still sells a decent selection, though only in Korean. The café is overall very spacious, with a nice outdoor seating area to boot.
